Thank you for choosing to book with Howling Point, when you make this booking, you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.
Prices & Payment:
The price includes the following for your stay-
Accommodation, bedding, towels, heating, water, hot tub towels & robes, dog throws, dog drying towels, logs for the fire, logs for the hot-tub, Coffee machine and pods.
We accept the following forms of payment:
Bank transfer- Safely transfer to our bank account.
Credit card or Debit Card Payment, Sumup is a third-party secure payment processor and a deposit of 25% will be taken at the time of booking. We will ask for the balance approximately 5 weeks before your stay or by final bank transfer or debit, credit request.
If the final payment is not paid by the due date, Howling Point reserves the right to retain your deposit and re-let the accommodation.
Bookings are deemed provisional until you receive email confirmation.
Cancellation and Insurance:
Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit you may have paid is refundable up to 8 weeks prior to your stay. If you need to cancel, please contact us immediately. For this reason, you may wish to take out cancellation/holiday insurance, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker. Once full payment has been made, you will not qualify for a refund if you wish to cancel your booking.
If full payment hasn’t been made within 24hrs of specified date, we reserve the right to offer your booking to others and your deposit is non-refundable. We will give adequate prior notice and reminder of balance payment due date.
If you want to swap to an alternate date, then that is possible in specific personal circumstances, please note that an additional charge is likely to apply due to seasonality pricing. We would need to know 2 weeks in advance, at the latest, to fill any booking. If we cannot fill the booking, we are unable to process any type of refund.
Non-availability:
Howling Point reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking, without a statement of reasons at any time. In unexceptional circumstances, and if cancelling your booking for reasons beyond our control, we would offer you an alternative date or refund.
Amendments to bookings:
Should you wish to make a change to your confirmed booking, this is possible up to 8 weeks prior to your holiday start date.
Arrival:
Check in is from 4pm on the day of arrival.
Departure:
Check out time is 10 am on the day of departure, you are responsible for ensuring that the key is placed back in the security key box by the front door when you leave. We ask the gates are left open as we will arrive at 10am.
Damages and Breakages:
Please take care when staying at our cottage. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repairs if the damage or breakage is significant. We may also make an additional charge of £50 if you did not report any significant breakages/damage to the cottage.
It is worth having a travel insurance even when travelling in the Uk and recommend this for your stay.
Liability:
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves.
Data:
Any data gathered during this booking may be held only for the purposes of dealing with your booking or marketing purposes.
